Tradition holds a lot of value. Finnman saunas concentrate on classical designs that have proven their functionality over time. Functionality that makes full use of the room space, and fits best in most applications. Things that become traditional tend to be long lasting. So too are the materials that have been chosen for the Finnman saunas. The most important of which is the use of Nordic Spruce as the main material. Spruce is superior because of its stable properties. Any sap in this wood will come out of the wood the first time it is heated, and after this there is very little change. The wood stays light color, absorbs moisture lightly, but does not get soaked because of its dense texture. It does not warp or crack, nor does it stain easily. It has a nice fresh scent and it stays cool to touch.
